In the seventies it was non ticket, so we used to have thousands - they just crammed in as many as they could. Early eighties was first all ticket, and priority went to season ticket holders (which in those days were only in the Portman Road east and west stands). So hundreds of us went to a Norwich v Man City game a couple of weeks before so we could buy tickets in the home end. Must have been about a thousand Town fans in the river end for the derby - got quite lively until we were escorted around the edge of the pitch to be packed in the Barclay end. |  | | |

ZDS cup game. A poxy competition, games were poorly attended so it wasn't all ticket you could pay at the gate. Although we had tickets we were stopped from getting anywhere near the ground as the away end was already overcrowded.
Doubt if there were 12,000 town fans but certainly more that the Norfolk plod could cope with. |  |

We had a hell of a lot there in a 35798 crowd in the Texaco Cup Final in 1973.

If there ever was 12000 of us there I think that it would have been for the 1973 Texaco Cup Final.
