After his recent unwise comments, I feel I need to convey my thoughts on him.

I watched him for a season, around 3 or 4 years ago, when he played for my 2nd club, Rennes. He started off on fire........scored most of his goals in his first few matches and then faded away badly. After the 1st month, we were all hoping that he would sign a permanent contract, but, gradually his form and workrate faded and no-one connected with the club were disappointed when he moved on at the end of the season.

He is very dangerous when given a bit of space on the edge of the box and scored several spectacular goals for Rennes, which I have also seen him do on tele for Forest and scum.

He does also have a bit of an attitude and won't like it if a few things go against him. Hopefully Chambers will be able to get a few early, hard, but fair tackles on him and he might not be quite so cocky by the end of the game.

I've lived in France since 2004 and didn't want my boy thinking football was something played on the tele. He proudly supports Rennes in his local school, where most of his friends "support" PSG, Lyon or Marseille. Ipswich are still his team though, despite being only 3 when we moved away. Bring on Sunday........
