'Top of their game' XI 10:37 - Oct 21 with 1127 viewsuefacup81

Watching some of the old highlights earlier, I'd clean forgotten we had Ivan Camp once upon a time.

Based on that, who would you have in an XI of players who graced Portman Road, but either went on to greatness elsewhere, or were heading for retirement by the time they reached Suffolk?

You could make a 'heading for the knackers yard' XI solely from players from the Jewell era..

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

My eleven would be this, certainly post-Premier League relegation

--------------------Begovic

Simpson Macauley Delaney Cresswell

Walters Leadbitter Noble Wickham

----------------Murphy Bent

Subs : Stockdale, De Vos, Mings, Rhodes, Bullard, Fraser, Gio,

Begovic has had an excellent Premier League career

Simpson is now a Premier League winner

Who'd have thought Macauley and Delaney would be pillars of Premier League defences

Cresswell has made the England team

Walters has had a long and distinguished Premier League career

Leadbitter has risen from the ashes and got back to the Premier League with Boro

Noble has been the mainstay of Wham's midfield
Wickham has failed to kick on but will come again I'm sure

Daryl Murphy almost got us promoted, single handedly would be unfair but he was exceptional that season, thoroughly deserving that more to Newcastle

Darren Bent went onto play for England and score tonnes of Premier League goals

Tom Lawrence is unlucky to miss out but I think he offers less team qualities of Fraser and Gio, imagine those two on either flank!

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!
