I don't really buy the arguement that who do you replace him with 20:29 - Oct 23 with 6861 viewsJoey_Joe_Joe_Junior

I mean any other manager losing 7 out of 9 would be in trouble wouldn't they?

Looked so lost second half.

For once, I agree with you. It's not our job as fans to find the replacement, it would be the clubs and I would hope they have footballing people in place to find a good fit. That said, I have very little trust in Evans to do so after his Keane/Jewell appointments. It has to be a football minded person who picks the new boss. Ask people like Burley or even ask Sheepshanks to give him a hand finding someone, anyone but Evans again.

Which Norwich fan would have said to replace Alex Neil with Daniel Farke?

The only footballing man at the club is Mick really, that's been part of the problem under ME, an over reliance on his managers to run the football side of the club completely. It makes the idea of bringing in a young, up and coming coach wholly unrealistic within our current structure.

The club did well with the appointment of Mick, however I wouldn't expect anything other than someone who has previously achieved promotion from the championship. That's been the connecting quality beteeen the three appointments Evans has made to date.

It'll also likely be someone not currently employed so a pretty limited pool of talent.

I don't see a change before next summer though.

It's depressing to think about it.

It's a complete non-argument. I'm pretty certain the majority of huddersfield fans would never have heard of wagner before his appointment for example, or watford of jokanovic. So why should we have to predict a successor we have never heard of to justify the removal of the incumbent?

How many clubs below the premier league have supporters that know they have absolutely no chance of ever getting promotion from their league under their current owner?

Us, Burton, Morecambe (probably), Forest Green (probably)

That's about it

And taking the casino theme further, ME is like the one who’s low-stacked in a game of poker.

Only putting in the bare minimum when he has to (ie; the blinds), because he knows he can’t afford to play the rest of the game and compete with the rest of the players.

I think alot of us are here have finally realised that we aren't actually going anywhere or building anything. After last season, I was willing to see if Mick could overcome it because, as he kept saying, it was his first really poor season, but it seems like we're going the same way as we did after 7 losses on 9, sackable form on it's own in today's game.

Wasn't Mick appointed on the back of Jewell's recommendation among others? Makes you wonder what kind of boss Mick would recommend!

Even if it's not a foreign name, I think people would be excited with someone coming up through the leagues rather than a 'tried and trusted' name like Keane, Jewell and now Mick.

Mick's been Evans most successful appointment but he was means to an end. Keep us up, build a team, go for the play-offs. It's all gone stale now and a fresh approach is needed, from both a managerial stance and Evans approach to investment.

I'd rather we wait until the season ends tbh Luke and then make an appointment from the lower leagues. Someone like Ainsworth.

If mick was sacked whilst we were mid table, we'd be bringing in someone with experience to make sure we don't get relegated. And there's no guarantee we wouldn't. At least under mick, there's no way we'd go down imo.

Agreed. It's an incredibly lazy argument to expect fans to name (or simply agree on) a plausible successor to justify calls for a potential sacking. As you say, it's not our job. It's something that winds me up on here.
