It just seemed an odd panic signing bearing in mind once all of the central defenders were back fit, we had plenty of cover in the full back positions in Kenlock, Knudsen, Iorfa and Spence.
That said, Mick said we was signing Connolly regardless of whether we got Goldson anyway, so you wonder if there is someone out of them 4 full back's he doesn't rate still. |  |

More it freed up Iorfa or Spence to move into the centre. Given Kenlock's poor start to the season we were very short for a few weeks. | |

Suppose so, but once Chambers, Webster and Smith were fit, surely it was only ever going to be 2 or all 3 of those who would have lined up in central defence? | |
