The bit about local pride, going with mates and what actually happened en route to a result being tangential also strikes a big chord ... I'd hardly consider myself a luddite but that's how it used to be and, in my mind, really still should be. | |

Some excellent points there. I'm sure 90% of people here would pick results over style but at the moment we have neither and if we're not going to compete it might as well be decent football. He seems to be talking about a straight choice between style and results. |  |

Yes I think some of it only applies to clubs like Man Utd and the current Mourinho discussion. But most of it can be related more widely. I think people have forgotten how to enjoy themselves at the football, really. | |
