They aren't heading up to 2007 levels any time soon, rates of 5.5% would cripple many who have over leveraged on cheap credit.

I can see an increase to around 2% to 2.5% over the next 3 to 5 years - anymore would indeed be problematic as things stand.

i presume interest rates have been ignored in all this 'austerity' business? Having them historically at between 5-10% used to make a huge difference to overall nett income.
