Good piece, think the sooner Mick goes the better in reality for the atmosphere at the club although can se why Evans would want to see us in relative safety before then and having to pay off his contract.

If Sunderland were to come in for him I don't think anyone would be too disappointed (Marcus, Mick or the fans) as solves a few problems

Be interesting to see how long Mick lasts in all honesty, I think he will limp across the line come the end of the season, but equally if things are no better come the New Year then Marcus would be wise to make a change. Especially going into ST renewal season, they can't afford another 2k loss.

A fair and honest reflection of the current situation Phil.

But mostly it would probably solve a few problems for Sunderland.

I think they may be beyond saving - Grayson is a very good manager and did nothing there.

Not sure any manager in a job would/should give that up to go to Sunderland. Absolute shambles of a club.

If it's inevitable he's going to leave at the end of the season (looks even more-so reading his latest comments about the Sunderland job), then what's going to happen with the players who don't know who the new manager is going to be until the season (and some of their contracts) are over?

If he's going, lets get rid now and crack on with it - give the new manager the mid table team to work with and sort out which players he'll want to keep and not.

If Sunderland came in for him and he left, I think that would be the ideal situation as things stand. A decent portion of his £20k p/w salary would be freed up and we might get some compensation. Both he and ITFC would benefit from a fresh start imo.

PS Nice report
