Horrible day 12:04 - Nov 4 with 3152 viewsitfcjoe

Horrible weather, a horrible game ahead of us potentially.

If today goes wrong, and we go behind early and atmosphere turns toxic it could end up being an awful day.

I wouldn't bet against a new manager in the dugout at Hull if all goes wrong today.

Isn't that Russian bloke doing ok at Hull?

Having effectively sacrificed Cardiff for today, it really needs to go right. Another interminable international break preceded by a disappointing loss will be really unpleasant.

Absolutely no chance. I’m as bad as some for moaning about MM but even I know there’s really no point in doing it as he is the one who will dictate when he leaves.

No way. Unless MM gets another job.

If Benters wasn't going I'd be confident of smashing them today, with Benters in attendance it'll be a 1-0 defeat and lots of discontent.

Really tough to call today. Last few have been a bit more obvious. I know we don't draw games, but reckon we might today. Hope your running is going well? Making my cross country debut tomorrow.

I know that was then, but it could be again..

An early goal conceded and we’ll be in trouble. They will have a very makeshift back 4 in place so we should be able to go at them but a tense bore draw wouldn’t surprise me - and that won’t really help anyone.

Running going fine, just did a very short one this morning to keep run going - good luck tomorrow

If you take the last six games a "form" then it's pretty average rather than poor. There are a few teams on worse runs. I'm looking at the season as a whole which is only 14 or 15 games in.

Benters says he's not drinking so he can analyse the game. Which I think is the post of the day so far.

That would require Evans to show some leadership and vision for ITFC. So, no then.

Have some faith! If our 7 at the back can keep this tight and stop them from playing, we may be able to nick a 0-0 from this. A point against a good side who are falsely placed would be an excellent result. Let's not forget we're playing the league and cup double winners*.

Of 1880-81, but still, the quality is obviously in their DNA.

Sorry to nit-pick, 1888-9. Interestingly, perhaps, when I just checked cos it didn't feel quite right, I googled "Preston double", but all I got was, of course, double glazing in Preston.

I wonder if they still rub it in with Burnley, Blackburn etc. Hope so as it will give our great-grandchildren licence to continue to take our own history to the Budgies.

If we have to listen to yet another post-match presser containing the words "no mugs", it would certainly turn out to be a dismal day, but let's hope for the best.
