ROI v Denmark. 17:06 - Nov 14 with 5092 viewsjimsymBLUE

Thought last nights WC play off despite lacking in any real quality was an absorbing match and expecting more of the same tonight. Going to be an absolute battle and probably some hoofing we would be proud of. Who's everybody backing?

Last minute Jonas screamer....

Normally the Irish, but just recently I have been put off..

So go the Danes for me!

Don't expect a classic. ROI will probably play for a 1-0 win as they know they're screwed if they concede.

I really, really want Ireland to win.

Be thankful we never had Spain in our group eh, these play-off games are as good and mean as much as you're ever going to get, it's actually a great way to qualify, just like our play-off's are in terms of how it can benefit the next season when going up..

Forget a pointless friendly, this is proper serious stuff, just like last night which I too really enjoyed..

Hoping for a Denmark victory, purely because Christian Erikson plays for them and he deserves to show his skills in the World Cup Finals.
Also Roy Keane and James McClean are two of my most hated people in football, so I don't want them to reach the finals.

O'Neill and Keane have Ireland playing some of the most turgid anti-football I've seen, I usually want Ireland to win but think I'll be rooting for Denmark this time around.

Well certainly hoping we can qualify. Think the performance Saturday night was shocking. Need a major improvement. The World Cup will be all the brighter to have The Green Army roaring them on. Might be dull off the pitch but entertaining off it.

People bemoan the style of the team but O'Neil has delivered, infact I think they're unbeaten at home in over a year?

I'm expecting a slim victory for Ireland but anything can happen.

Completely agree re Eriksen. What a player.

And completely agree re Keane. What a cooont.

All that aside however, come on Ireland.

Trailing vapour since 1999.

Denmark all the way..

And the Danes are certainly as colourful and happy as the Irish off the field.

Some tears from James McLean would be the icing on the cake.

MON has been very honest that his team lacks the quality of other nations and he has to play that way to get results. Which is quite amusing as the majority of MM outers would probably jump at the chance for him to come here and manage us.

Ah, one defeat at home in the last year though! Pretty good considering what he has at his disposal.

Cracking match so far, thought it might be cagey but that early goal had made it lively.

Very good. Just wish Denmark had scored first. Ireland will just sit back now on the edge of their area.....hang on a minute!

Ireland have left too much space at the back all evening. Randolph had made three good saves before the equaliser. Denmark are much the better side, although I did think Murphy had scored.

Ireland just need half time and to regroup, get the crowd up again.
