Was stuck in the queue for approx. 20 mins, could see the Nacton turning but no cars were moving and taking the junction, finally managed to get off and traffic was easy through town.
Speed cameras are causing the spate of accidents is my guess, plus ignorant drivers changing lanes and tailgating.

Just too many cars on the road, and no signs of it improving. No-one seems to mind the death and illness that they cause, every year.

Conventional wisdom is the enemy of thought.

Our investigative Ipswich Star ought to ask Highways Agency how much safer the bridge is since the speed limit was introduced. Not convinced it has made it any safer.

Indeed, they just carry on building more roads for more cars, to bring on more death and disease.

Too nanny drivers see the speed limit as a minimum to be achieved rather the maximum permitted in ideal driving conditions.

Slow drivers ( the ones who drive 15 mph or less) under the speed limit are the biggest causes of accidents in my opinion .

People are concentrating on the speed dial rather than the road. The speed limit has done nothing to. Improve things.

Not meaning to divert any attention away from the seriousness of the accidents around the Orwell Bridge but its just been revealed that interstate Highway I-4 that connects both coasts of Florida from Daytona through Orlando Disney area onto Tampa has been named the worst accident prone in the whole of the USA. And whatever list this is another touristy highway that passes close to Disney, US 192 Kissimmee with traffic stop lights everywhere (I-4 no stop lights) has also made the top 5 of the worst in the USA!

The police and crime commissioner Tim Passmore has also been quite influential in the introduction of the speed cameras.

Capacity is the problem as much as anything

It was due to exceed the capacity it was designed for a few years ago and yet we still don't have an alternative route.

Why is anyone's guess, p1ss poor planning and a County Council with it's head in the sand?

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!
