Nah, not too bad - shocking!

I'm temped to sleep and come back when we're 300-2 but I'm going to watch.

Hope you're well.

Yeah, I'm good for someone who is choosing to be sleep-deprived!

I've just seen that Benters has gone - I hope he's OK.

I must have dozed off at desk for a few mins, see we're 53/3

Root is not looking like one of the best batsmen in the world in this series.

I'm not sure being captain suits him. Smith's average has gone from 50 to 70+ since he's been captain but Root's will be dropping rapidly.

Come on Cooky!

Got up to watch an hour or so before work, wish I hadn't bothered. Malan apart, some pretty weak dismissals. Bairstow playing strangely too. Think they're all brainfried already.

It does look like the series has gone inside 7.5 days!

I don't want the boxing day test to be a pointless one - that's a piece of sport I absolutely love but it's not so good if we're 3-0 down, which is seeming likely.

In the space of a few days of the first test and now this test it has shown that our batsmen are simply not good enough and our bowlers are not a patch on the Aussies. Difficult to know what we can do, but looking at how poorly we are playing and competing a 5-0 drubbing looks a formality.

But then came Woakes and Overton! They're going to take this away from the Aussies!

Just need these two to bat for another 3 sessions and we should be home and hosed!!!! . The England batters should hang their heads in shame when two bowlers are showing the guts to toughen it out against the Aussie attack.

I didn't think we'd get to dinner to be fair so that's a decent effort.

Overton will get a century, if Broady and Jimmy can hang about…

They'll give us a target of 450 and have the best part of 2 days to bowl us out. Overton and Woakes are going to have to work hard in the second innings to get us over the line!

When you wake up and find yourself relying on Woakes and Overton to save your test match

This series is just as disappointing as I feared it would be.

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

These two and Jimmy bat until the end of the day and suddenly the Aussies have two days to bowl us out again and get whatever the runs are we put on

Think that 7/1 the draw is still very much possible

Not sure if any Test captain has ever put the opposition in, had them declare and then lose by an innings before.
I know that that might not happen but just wondered if it would be the first time if it did.

I know it's not their fault for the situation but that was poor from Broad and Anderson with a guy on 40 odd the other end.

Losing by 10 wickets is pretty much the same as losing by an innings though
