Phil - cheeky, but can you pin?? I know a fair few of us are interested in chatting about this as well as ITFC.

To kick start - series predictions?

I am going Australia 2-3 England.

In many ways, this has been the worst hour of the tour.

We should have been in a position where we couldn't lose - 500 towards the end of session 5 and it's hard to lose from there. I wouldn't be surprised now if they get 550 and win by an innings.

Typical if you watch England/Ipswich innit - one minute you're bubbling and happy as larry, 60 later & you're in the depths of despair!

All out!

I suppose we'd have taken this at 131-4 but 6 wickets in a session is a poor effort. An hour ago I couldn't see them winning and now that's all I can see!

6 wkts for 35. Awful collapse again. At least we've scaled the dizzy heights of 400.

Couple of quick wickets needed but you get the feeling our bowlers will look somewhat innocuous in comparasion.

Ridicuous innit. This gives the Aussies such a psychological line in for the final 2 tests as well.

I suppose we have to be grateful of Malan being dropped yesterday, with our tail YJB would have been 50* as we folded for 190 odd!!
Got a horrible feeling that the scummy, little oik Warner is going to tee off here. He's due I'm afraid.

I agree that Warner is due a big one.

Our tail is so different without Stokes but they really have been awful in these three matches.

I think we need something special from Broad to stay in this game.

The lower order can’t cope with the extra speed and hostility of the Aussie bowlers. 403 is decent from 131-4, but it still looks under par on this pitch.

Not even a modicum of sideways movement, early days but this could get ugly I reckon, (blatant effort at a massive jinx).

This wicket is flatter than my mood.

Aus to get to the close without losing a wicket.

Christ I hope that's not the case.

I said to myself I'd call it a night when the first wicket goes down. That was an hour ago.

🚨WICKET!🚨

And I can sleep! Warner is gone. Lovely delivery from Overton as he beats the Aussie for length and gets the edge. Warner seemed to think it was shorter and originally moved backwards (even more than his trigger movement) and struggled to adjust when realising his misjudgement. Easy catch in the slips and England have a breakthrough.

44-1

Brilliant fecking up of a good position this morning. 35 runs for the last six wickets FFS.

Get Smith out shortly after tea before Australia run away with the chase please.

Just read a comment on BBC's Facebook page that made me chuckle from yesterday....'Starc has trapped Cook LBW, the Aussies are now into the England tail!'

I feel that sentiment when we are four down generally on this tour.

Which is odd really as our tail have dug us out of some situations over the years. I think it shows what that extra 5mph is worth on quick wickets, they can't deal with the raw pace.

Our worst collapse of the tour? I woke up to us being 356/4, went back to sleep & woke up again 90 minutes later to see Australia batting. 40 of those 90 minutes were the lunch break.

Broad giving Smith a couple of juicy half volleys off his legs there.
