All this is starting to get a bit silly now, and confusion, I mean after a few you'd not be sure what you're trying to pull
It's the explanation of the term that gets me. Particularly this bit: 'as well as people who don’t identify with one particular gender or don’t want to be identified as being male or female.'
Don't want to be identified as make or female?!?!? It's baffling
Does a football club introducing something that will make a few people more comfortable really have any great effect on anybody else? I can't really see that it does or that it provides any reason for angst.

It's just a weird thing to have to invent. I couldn't careless really, but it's just weird

Think of it as self-identifying as a member of the Jedi religion, but without the post-modern irony.
If people want to identify as a man, woman, neither, horse or a cat, as long as they're not hurting anyone else I couldn't give a cr@p, they can fill their boots. I cannot be dealing with all of this gender pronoun stuff though, some of it is getting silly (I mean how is being asexual lumped in with LGBT or demi-sexual which is just ridiculous).

Completely agree - I just thought it odd that it justified a tweet.

I do not understand this fecked up world anymore, glad I am old and will sod off soon
Same same.
These days people just love to find something to be offended by. Older generations are more level headed because they have had to deal with real issues like world wars.
I hate modern football and I hate modern life.
“Hello, I'm your MP. Actually I'm not. I'm your candidate. Gosh.”

Are you of the generation that thought Jen de Nootral was a Dutch porn star?

It doesn't affect me at all but it's just a strange thing for a football club to make a story about as though it's news.

Sorry you are baffled, but I was Chair of Governors at a Primary School where one of the children was intersex*: s/he had both male and female genitalia (I was told).
In cases like this the parents have, in the past, been told to choose for their child. They then gave them a boys or girls name, cut their hair a certain way, dressed them in certain clothes, bought them certain toys etc to help their child fit into that gender stereotype and to socialise as a boy or girl.
But these children then grow up with an awareness that they are different, and a fear of being found out.
Parents are now being offered a third way, where the child is given a gender neutral first name (a name that both boys and girls have in our culture) and are encouraged to embrace their intersex identity from an early age. They are allowed to be different and encouraged to be secure in that identity. If they wish to choose to embrace one or other of the male or female gender identities later in life, that is then up to them.
Is this nonsense? Is this political correctness gone mad? Or is it helping people who have been given a really difficult start in life to not live with a forced choice and oppressive fear of being discovered? Why make these people come out later in life if they choose to switch from their "enforced" gender? Why should this tiny minority of people have to live a lie because the alternative is to be sniggered at or have any sort of attempt to support them seen as evidence that "the world has gone mad"?
This initiative will hurt no-one but can raise awareness of a real issue which has a huge impact on a tiny number of people. Our culture has primarily dealt with this taboo in the past by ridiculing them. Swansea and Bournemouth are treating them with respect.
The world is still crazy but, in a very small way, a few people have chosen to make it a little bit kinder.
* this is one reason of why people may identify as non-binary, there.are others, but this is the one where I was aware of the circumstances from an early age.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!
Ok i'll ask a question, don't shoot me down for this
BUT.
at what point did we begin to have such an increase in people realising they aren't the gender they were meant to be?
schools now letting boys become girls and letting them sleep in girl borden schools etc
How has it suddenly become such a big thing?
I know my Nan and granddad would be confused as hell about all this.
Now this isn't a rant, i have no issue with what ever anyone wants to be inlife. but it just seems like it's suddenly become a thing that needs to be advertised heavily.
It's an interesting world.
children singing bah bah small sheep, we now have chalk boards. easter eggs no longer easter eggs, we now have december plays, not christmas performances, and people being offended by being called a female when they're a man dressed and changed into a female, but wants to be know as mx. How does this effect things like toilets? Do an MX go into a female toilet or male toilet, or will we now see new toilets being created for MX people.

I think it's become more "ok" to be "different".
That said, if I understand correctly, forms will be changed so that they can enter "Mr", "Mrs", ... "Mx". Why, is it necessary for this prefix at all? Why not just name? How many organisations really need to know your sex in the first place? What difference does it make?
If you liked my post, please take the time to upvote it. It's very much appreciated.

Oh, note to Phil, perhaps we need to amend the questionnaire...

very good point Gav, often wandered that myself
We'd have to add this prefix to job application forms, surely this could lead to people being ignored for interviews.
