Maybe a bit of a mismatch, but I imagine it'll be a good opportunity to see some former world-class players in what could be an enjoyable game, whilst making a heck of a lot of money for their Community Sports Foundation.

I think it's things like this that transcend partisanship, and the sort of thing that I (as a general fan of football, and of doing Nice Things) really enjoy being part of. Hats off to them for organising something like this, and for still having something like their CSF, which is an amazing force for good.

They can play any charity game they like, it's just embarrassing to try and make some kind of big anniversary out of playing a game they ultimately lost, as if it's a big thing that they took part in the competition and whilst their fans sit there and accuse us of living in the past.

Maybe whilst Inter are over here Town should organise an anniversary 3rd round UEFA Cup exit game, it was 15years ago this week they lost at Portman Rd. Or Barcelona if they aren't doing anything it was 40years ago we beat them 3-0 at home in the 3rd round too, only to lose in the 2nd leg.

"25 years since our European run".

It says (Participants) 1993/1994.

It is now 2017 so how can they work that out as 25 years?

How embarrassing to put Huckerby on the shirt when they sacked him last month.

"Norwich City are delighted to announce that we will be marking 25 years since the Club’s memorable 1993 UEFA Cup run with a special charity match against Inter Milan’s ‘Inter Forever’ side at Carrow Road on Sunday May 20, 2018."

But that is still in the 17/18 season rather than 18/19

But their cup run was so long and memorable it was over by Christmas, so 2018 is indeed 25 years on from 1993...

Huckerby vs Zanetti FFS

Was Huckerby even there then? Seems bizarre advertising him, at the very least, in a poster "celebrating" participating in this match when surely they should have used players who appeared.

Rob Newman, Culverhouse, Bowen anyone?

They even gave this match it's own page:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bayern_Munich_v_Norwich_City

Anyone want to do some editing this afternoon?

"Despite the fact that this match was merely a second round UEFA cup tie against an ordinary Munich side it represents by far the greatest moment in the history of Norwich City Football Club. Even more so than the time they won the Legaue Cup courtesy of an own goal and both finalists were relegated or the time they had an open top bus trip to mark losing a play-off final.

The only other comparable moment was when part-owner Delia Smith wandered onto the pitch at half-time to encourage Norwich fans to sing or something. They still lost."

Well we played Inter in the same round of the same competition and actually managed a home win( Still unbeaten in at home in Europe) only a mere 16 years ago. It would be a major achievement if we had never won it. #tinpotw@nkers

Nope still 5 months too early - May 18 falls within 17/18 for it to be 25 years needs to be 18/19 season.
