Not a bad way to start your ITFC career. I am insanely jealous and worried he doesn't know what torment awaits.

Anyone have a better first match? Mine was a narrow win over Brizzle Rovers IIRC

Lost 4-3 to Everton for mine, quite entertaining though.

Did see senior pre-match today too.

4-1 loss to Man City in the FA Cup in 2002, slightly different paths since then

A 3-0 win at Oldham just after we'd signed Ian Marshall from them. Must have been early 90's.

Think we went top of the old Division 1 that day, it's been downhill ever since.

4-1 I think it finished. Sat in the home end but loved it

Saturday 14th March 1981 Ipswich 3 Spurs 0

The best Ipswich team ever played Hoddle and co off the park. Within a couple of months we'd have won the UEFA Cup, been robbed of the title by fixture congestion and narrowly been squeaked out of the FA Cup Final that Spurs would go on to win.

I think it's fair to say that I probably have as good a claim as anyone to have been a victim of mis-selling with my lifelong commitment to ITFC on the back of that.

Town 1 Crewe 2 - Apr 1999... losing to current bottom side that basically cost us automatic promotion. Why the hell I got hooked, who knows.

3-2 vs Coventry in Jan 2010 when Pablo scored. That was pretty excellent.

I survived Ipswich 0-0 Burton

No idea what my first game was but my first ITFC memory is of Jack Parry playing in goal against Plymouth, not sure if it was first team game or reserve game, in 1954 or 1955 when I was 3 or 4.

Ipswich Town 3-2 Oxford United
Last home game of the 1986 season.
Knew it was Oxford and remember winning but had to look up the score. 5th birthday present, according to the old man!

Very good first game to go to, let’s hope he gets the bug.

A boring 0-0 vs Wolves circa 95/96, still fell in love.

My first match is extremely memorable.

My old man came home from work and took me straight to the game.
Barnsley at home in the promotion season.
3-0 at half time and my old man says "if we carry on playing like that we'll score another 3".
He was right, we won 6-1 and I loved every minute of it. Hooked since

4-1 V Leicester Kiyomya scored a screamer in front of the North stand, atmosphere was raucus. January 1995. Addiction to the Town collective confirmed. Just found the Sky match line ups.

3-1 home win over West Brom, 1989. Kiwomya was amazing that day, scoring 1. Lowe and Shakey the other scorers.

I bet Bloots will downarrow this.

I took my daughter to her first game yesterday. Despite me having to decline 64 second-half requests that we go home now, I think she enjoyed it. Was strange sitting up in the Pioneer stand again, haven't sat there since I was a kid. I got heavy emotional when the players came out, just thinking back to when my mother used to take me to PR. In that moment, I just knew we'd win 4-2.

My first game was Salernitana in the Anglo-Italian Cup in 1995. Won 2-0.

2 nil home win against Stoke , April 1982. Wark and Mariner scored. Never guessed at the time that 35 years of mostly mediocrity would follow.

1-0 home win against Man City in 1997. Mathie in the 67th minute IIRC.

Spent most the game in awe of Bobby Petta. Met Sheppy before the game when he was walking around the ground before the game chatting to fans.
