Civelli retires 01:27 - Dec 12 with 3547 viewsFifeITFC

Just seen Civelli tweet that he's retiring from the game as his "head and knees have had enough". Can't help wondering if the bad injury here is to blame.

A real shame as I thought he looked a very promising player beside his injury.

Up there with Ulrich Le Pen in the 'unluckiest Town players' stakes. Was just starting to look a bit handy and then got his injury. Mind you, poor old Le Pen didn't even get that.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

His injury here was nearly 10 years ago wasn't it? Doesn't seem to have held him back too much if he's only retiring now. He must be well in his 30s.

His injury was gutting, seemed like a promising signing but that injury destroyed his time here completely.

He's 31. Would suggest that the injury perhaps has taken its toll and he can't maintain fitness etc?

According to Wikipedia, he's only made 168 career appearances, and only 83 since leaving us in 2011.

Does anyone know if he has recovered from that bang on the nose yet?

He looked good in the away game at wolves. Wish he was young and joining us now
