Hooge game tomorrow 12:02 - Dec 15 with 6019 viewsclive_baker

Plus Derby vs. Villa, something's got to give there.

Absolutely vital that we win tomorrow IMO if we're going to mount a serious challenge on the top 6.

Agreed.

Fed up with the injuries and many things about ITFC, but will be in the stands and 100% behind the team/club tomorrow.

Wow a football post in the socialist workers forum!

Jokes aside I just hope we dont crumble under the pressure. We could beat Reading on our good day so lets hope they actually perform this week!

They're a decent side. Was impressed with them at Sunderland the other week.

However, at home, these are the games we need to be winning.

Reading are arguably the most unpredictable team at the moment.

If reading are remotely on song we aren't getting a sniff, that said they might not turn up and we nick it. Personally see us losing 1-0 but it being a massive non event with very little to excite

I fancy us tomorrow, not going for first home game in a long time, but these teams that try and play out relentlessly from the back we tend to get on top with a high press and make look a little silly.

As long as we don't show them too much respect (e.g. Fulham) I think we'll win fairly comfortably as they aren't all that

Agreed. Wednesday and Forest came and played that way and we handled them comfortably. Reading don't play with the tempo or movement of Fulham (or even Brentford) and I expect us to handle them pretty well and get the win.

I don't think there's any chance of us winning 'comfortably' tomorrow TBH. From what I've seen of Reading they're very decent. They've beaten Derby and Leeds on the road in recent weeks and looked very good in their win at Sunderland, especially given the crowd were so pumped and the 'new manager bounce' was put to bed pretty sharpish. Red card didn't help Sunderland but I was impressed with Reading. They've got a lot of experience and in Aluko, Kermogant, Bodvarrson they're a threat

Maybe not comfortably, but could see a 2-0 or 2-1 where we let them back in but in reality are in control.

I don't doubt there attacking quality and experience, but feel there is always a rick in McShane and Moore isn't good enough on the ball for the way they try and play out from the back and we normally look decent against sides that do that as succesfully pin them back. If we go behind we are screwed though

We won at Derby, narrowly lost at Leeds and Sunderland haven't won at home for virtually a year (will be one entire year if they fail to beat Fulham tomorrow), so while they're decent results, that's not that much better than us.

And teams that pass it around at the back for the sake of it have tended to come unstuck against us when you have Garner, Waghorn and co chasing them down - ask Mancienne of Forest for a start.

2-0 to Town.

The Sunderland proposition in the past few weeks is vastly different to the one that played out the first couple of months of this season to be fair.

I guess time will tell, this time tomorrow I hope you can tell me 'I told you so'!

Really?
The Red Card completely changed the game.
Reading ran out comfortable winners, Yes. Overall I thought they were nothing special.

Ha, nice when things go to plan! Having seen a bit of Wolves this year, I'm not sure what plan will work up there!

The plan that worked at Derby along with a little bit of luck might work just fine.
