I feel sorry for the small businesses that supply them and are going to get hit. These companies always seem to go bust after their busiest time of year - b4astards.

A bit sad because it was part of our youth, but it's probably time for Toys R Us to go to bed or reinvent itself to make it fun again.

Unfortunately the Ipswich store is a tired, grim place to shop. A Toy Shop like that should be a thing that kids dreams are made of. Lots of bright colours, a vibrant buzz about the place. As it is, it's a warehouse with shelves and a tired, old logo / sign out the front of the shop.

Well, mine was a description of my nearest store in the Spain, but I imagine as with the US, Amazon is responsible for the company's woes. Nowadays, their biggest market is people buying last minute, 10-15€ presents for their children's friends' birthday parties. | |
