Apparently the beggars were 'not there by choice'. I'd love to know what mystical force whisked them up and set them down there.

Careful with those matches round that straw man there.

Bit of an odd comment. I asked you a question based on you suggesting they are homeless. I haven't said I know the answer or suggested that you are wrong in your estimate.

Not need to be so defensive

I'm just wondering why you're deciding to take the side of someone who'd rather brush a problem under the carpet for the sake of appearance than genuinely do something about an issue that his party have done quite a lot of work to exacerbate and have conclude that 'ah, Fishers is desperate seeking to 'controversial' again'.

Economics. There's not going to be enough footfall to beg a living on the streets of Little Bealings.

Wouldn’t it be an amazing gesture by the royal couple to insist that £1m was cut from the w doing budget and used to hand £10k to 100 homeless people and give them the chance to turn their lives around?

Well he took an article about beggars and referred to it as about homeless. Seems odd to link them 100% when it isn't the case. Why not refer to them as beggars or does that not have the same effect? 2 beggars were in court in derby last month for aggressive begging, neither were homeless. I also took a wrong turn in Bristol when visiting and accidently walked into the beggars offloading their takings to a chap picking them up in his car. Same thing in Peterborough just before Christmas arrives to see the man getting dropped off to his usual spot with his bedding.

I am have volunteered at a couple of homeless shelters and also at foodbanks so I understand that all cases are different but not all beggars should be called homeless and not all should be treated the same

I like it. Sufficiently vague yet emotive comment.

I'm guessing the royals, but others may interpret this for the beggars or the scummy lying Tory Councilor.
