I wonder if we'll ever be good at short and long formats at the same time. When we had a very good test side we were pretty embarrassing in the one dayers, now the test side has gone backwards a bit and we're ripping it up with the white ball. |  |

Got tickets to the Aussie ODI at the Oval in the summer plus a couple of Test days with Jnr; Saturday at Lords v Pakistan and (with due deference to Fawlty Towers) I'm taking him to see India......at the Oval. |  |

Yes, the difference in approach is impressive compared to a few years ago.

Yes, quite a long stretch with no Tests. The first Lord's Test is the last week in May and the weather then can be pretty variable. There might be a logic with trying to get audiences for the T20 stuff outside of the football season were there no World Cup. | |
