Sheff Utd fan's view on Carter-Vickers:- 14:05 - Jan 19 with 3069 viewsthorpedo

Not bad for us very athletic defender and got forward loads for us but he was very prone at making at least 1 major error a game like trying a back pass or putting header astray. All in all though good player shame we sent him back ⚽️⚽️obviously we r now a higher level so good for town!!

This was a message from my Sheff Utd supporting mate. He has seen both our matches with them this season and can't believe we are near the playoffs!

They sent him back? I was told Spurs recalled him, but who knows.
Yes, we are only 4pts behind the Blunts.

Spoke to a Spurs ST holder earlier. Highly regarded at Spurs, Poch apparently considers him to have a really good chance.

Interestingly though, Pocc has also changed his approach slightly over the past year. He's often said that it is better to keep young players and allow them a chance in the Spurs first team and reserve structure, rather than farming them out on loan.

But this season he seems to have changed his policy, potentially because the former wasn't working - or at least he didn't feel that enough of Spurs' young players were coming through. Hence Carter-Vickers going to Sheff U and then us, and Marcus Edwards going to Norwich.

Poch keeps two or three youngsters to work with the main squad each season and loans others out. CCV was highly enough rated to be kept last year, but this year lost that place to Juan Foyth (who is utterly superb).

Marcus Edwards is a bit different. Injuries have held back his progress, so a loan now is a good move. He has almost no first team experience.

CCV is still raw, but the Sheff U experience will have done him good. He reminds me a bit of Dean Richards.

Overall, a good signing for Town.

Think that's a very good comparison.
