Contradiction?

How?

Is it too much to ask you to stop being downright abusive to our current manager? Whatever you think of his abilities, he's still the manager of ITFC.

Fat chance. Texters wears his feckless abuse as a badge of honour because it proves how "passionate" he is.

It's a self-identity thing.

No, sorry.
I may change my stance if he maybe acts a bit more professional, like you say, as manager of ITFC.

Has he been criticised though?

I've not seen much on here, certainly nothing about a couple of people grumbling. I think most people accept that he is a stop gap signing due to our injury problems.

I've not seen many people actually slating the signing.

You obviously dont go on the news site.

HE is spot on though. In this case.

The signing was an underwhelming one. If you deny that your head is in the sand in my opinion.

It's not a bad signing, but underwhelming is accurate.

To be fair, he is right regarding fans moaning about Gleeson before he's even played, but surely from the clubs point of view, he should not be so outwardly attackive of the fans and 'customers'?

Pointing out the facts is hardly attacking, just just telling the truth.

He's not having a go at everyone though and that's the point. Many thought Gleeson was a good bit of business. Others were apparently including him in the tweet saying what a bad signing it was. Those are the people he's attacking. It's fair enough really. Some football fans (not you Luke) are so precious. They can spend all spend all week every week posting whatever they like and he has literally two sentences in reply and he's the bad guy.

Truly impaired.

Why should he? He has done a good job and the thick c*nts have forced him out. I hope he goes all out from here on and starts taking the piss out of them

Forced him out? He's been here 6 seasons and still has the option to renew his contract. What a drama queen.

People are entitled to criticise, but they tend not to be taken seriously when their criticisms are expressed in the shape of abuse such as you just dolled out.

There is no option for him to renew his contract. Not yet anyway.

It has wound MM up enough to raise it in an interview though.

Haha. Pretty much spot on though.

Anyone who said Gleeson was a poor signing (or even not what we needed) before he played a minute deserves a bit of a verbal slap.

He played well today. If Skuse is fit then I'd like us to play a Skuse, Connolly. Gleeson midfield against Wolves and perhaps get us linking up in the middle of the pitch, which has been our problem almost all season (apart from when Huws or Adeyemi have come in).

Yes. Good idea. Have a dig and send a few more away never to return..

It's not really a dig is it?

Those that are upset by it, as ever, are simply feeling embarrassment or guilt at their own actions and words.

Yes, fair enough. I thought you were addressing tomo.

But I can understand why he's niggled at being second-guessed by idiots. It's almost as if he spends his waking hours working towards something and a few numpties chuck in their tuppence worth based on whatever their limited knowledge spurts out.

The fact that a lot of this has been public and towards Gleeson himself is surely a factor? He's defending his player as much as anything.

Been nailed for two years atleast. But if he was to behave like a professional maybe I could try to accept him as a bloke here. FWIW I’ve never not praised him when it’s due

I accept that it has now got to the point where Evans is now more culpable than McCarthy for our demise, but i don't buy 16th as overachieving and calling people who have that opinion thick c*nts deserved the withering response that i gave it.

It’s not like 16th is really an outlier though is it. It’s one or two places lower than we’ve finished five times in the last eleven years, all of which bar, his first season were prior to MM taking over.

You can't defend the "fans" though if they're tweeting the boy directly and saying exactly this.

I'm not sticking up for Mick, I'd hope that any manager of a player would've done exactly the same. The collective pipe laggers & tyre fitters/UEFA Coaching level fans aren't always right.
