1-0 to hearts in their Edinburgh derby against Hibernian.

Header from a corner, seems to be the captain too.

Good on him, always liked him despite being rather dodgy on the ball.

He left for his family. If you wanted to go back home to your young daughter and the club took your option anyway you'd be annoyed. Yes he signed the contract but people make mistakes. Might have been different if he was going to a rival but as it was Hearts, good luck to him.

Top player, but well past his best and his career with us effectively ended after the play off season.

Is he still hoofing the ball out of defence, or has he discovered the ability to pass the ball under a different manager?

From what I saw, he hoofed it every time he got the ball today

Fair enough, not something we can blame MM alone for then!

Mind you, I'm sure when he played in the England v Scotland game a year or so ago, he seemed to pass the ball more than hoofing it.

He did what he always did, defended very well.
Strangely that was because he was/is a very good defender.
