Club is available for £25m, but it would need a new owner to lose £20m+ a season to even have a chance.

Who wants to risk that on a small championship club?

Elon Musk.

He's got a quid or two, he's cool, and he's not afraid to be daring. Imagine the Musk and Steijn dream team.

He's also a marvel and losing vast amounts of money.

Probably similar people who have invested heavily over the years in Brighton, Wolves, Birmingham, Cardiff, Fulham, QPR, Pompey, Villa, Forest. Saying we all want MM to go is easy enough but no one on here has really said we'll do materially better whilst Evans still owns us. £25m + 5 years in the championship for £20m per season would be paid back almost immediately by the access to the most lucrative football league in world.

It's only a risk if you're not committed to seeing it through to success. That seems to be the approach you need to take. Few of these owners care about the club above it being a buy and sell proposition.

I know that was then, but it could be again..

Losing money is the only way to make a football club successful.

The SpaceX logo would look so cool on our shirts. Rather than the Johnny Vegas tribute act from a Benidorm cabaret vibe we've got for next season.

Are we a small Championship club? Or are we a medium sized club/big Championship club like most of the league are?

Truly impaired.

One of the dads at my kids football team is a pit boss (in a Mayfair casino). He has said people loosing £7 million is common and it’s not uncommon for some Chinese businessmen to throw away sums of over 50 million in a week. We just need one who’s interested in money laundering, sorry I mean football, and owning a club over here

Of those only Wolves and Brighton haven’t been an absolute disaster.

It’s a gamble, is all that shows and most have gambled and lost. Even £100m over 5 years is no guarantee as Derby show. However, they have more chance I agree.

Your last paragraph is key. Few owners care about the club and it is just a way of making money. Do you want Town to just be a financial vehicle for some owner to be dropped when the returns are no longer acceptable?

Evans actually does care, for all his faults. He just doesn’t have the money or risk appetite of someone like Bloom at Brighton

And if the team played like they did today I bet he’d give them a rocket!

If the team ever played like they did today again, they'd be the next mass simulators.

Fulham? Wouldn’t consider them a disaster.

They were under a transfer embargo until a couple of year ago due to over spending. I’d say that was a bit of a blip
