MM Permanent Midfield Signings 16:22 - Feb 13 with 7555 views | Smithy | Is Skuse the only real decent one (even some would disagree with this) Huws and Adeyemi I both like but until they actually play some games its difficult to call them a success or not. Ward (frustrating player) and Anderson maybe at a push, but anyone else decent seems to have been a loan. Sort of highlights the problem really.

MM Permanent Midfield Signings on 12:23 - Feb 15 by OsborneOneNil | If he's so good at reading the game he'd find RB a lot easier than CM, it's a stroll in comparison. Granted, he wouldn't be a flying wing back, but that's not what the conversation was about, it's suggesting him at RB. He may be 'rusty' but training helps with that, so don't panic. Also, it would remove him from midfield meaning we can use better midfielders to play there. Win win! |
While removing him from CM might be a win not sure how he'll fit in as RB. He's shown that he can't move the ball forward so would continue to pass back or sideways.

You do talk nonsense, fella. Next time just post that you don't like Skuse, it'd be more honest and less silly than pretending that moving him to right back is actually a good idea.

It's not that I don't like Skuse, seems a nice chap, he's just not a very good footballer. The write up on Downes from the other night is EXACTLY how we should be crowing about our 'holding midfielder'......but that report was a million miles away from what Skuse does or offers us at any time. His good game is still average. (Appreciate that is L2). My view of him is an equilibrium of your love for him.....and that's fine, all about opinions. I do enjoy our alternative view of him though, it actually makes me laugh.

MM Permanent Midfield Signings on 16:49 - Feb 13 by No9 | Midfield has been a problem ever since MM arrived at PR. I guess it will remain so until he leaves. On Saturday Mick Mills suggested Cole Skuse should be put in the RB slot. |
You’ve twisted his words. He said a lot of our problems come from playing with 4 out and our defenders and 2 CMs who’s attributes are more defensive. He then said for example with how skuse plays if he was not a CM his next best position would likely be RB.

Also on this note another example ( as I do agree with mick mills on this occasion ) for example. Our full backs, knudsden and Spence let’s say next best positions would be center back. Where as say top full backs like Danny rose or Kyle walkers next best positions would likely be as wide midfielders. McCarthy seems to like playing with 4 centerbacks. I find it odd

You are correct as MM likes 622. If Skuse wasn't at DM then he should be on the bench. RB would be a big mistake so hoping Mills was joking. We've got a good RB out on loan but no word on his return. Guess that'll be left to new manager

Mick Mills was generally questioning MM's tactics
MM Permanent Midfield Signings on 15:37 - Feb 15 with 1628 views | toforoge | To be fair it is very difficult to play centre mid in a team that plays long ball,. You start by showing for the ball as much as you can, but after a few games you do less as you get used to the ball flying over your head. Then you try to make a few forward runs but find the ball is coming back your way fast so get caught out of position, so make less forward runs. Eventually negativity creeps into your game however good you are.

Except Skuse doesn't show for it, he hides. Even Skuse fans will agree he isn't 'busy' enough in the area where he should be the man keeping that ball moving.

I was not especially meaning Skuse . Just the difficulties of coming to Ipswich and being a good central mid.
