I have had DAB for years and years in the kitchen and I can never get any channel apart from the BBC ones and Absolute Radio. Even Talksport crackles and breaks up.

I've cheated by using the tune-in app on my Sonos set up (now with added Alexa integration). The radio world is my oyster. | |

To be fair it depends on how good the radio are I think.
I've got a couple of Pure Evokes and wherever I take them the quality is 100%.

I've got a couple of Pure Evokes and wherever I take them the quality is 100%.

2 weeks? It was only the prospect of it being one week that was keeping me going. Having just been made redundant and therefore at home more this might just tip me over the edge. Someone needs to have a stern word with Keaveny.

Internet radios have gone down in price quite considerably in recent years. Loved my DAB when I got mine in 2008, but the selection of UK radio is painfully poor. 6Music has died a slow & painful death from its glorious inception. (Bloody playlists?!? Are you kidding me? The sole point of 6Music was distancing itself from R1, R2 & every commercial station in the land). I don't want to hear the same song getting plugged 4 times a day on a playlist.
WFMU (NYC) & KEXP (Seattle) are the radio stations you need to be listening to.
But as you say, purchase a Sonos speaker, pair that with your Android or IPhone & you've got the all the Worlds radio stations at your fingertips. [Post edited 20 Feb 2018 20:49]

On the odd occasions I listen to 6 music during the day it is pretty tedious, certainly in the morning. The evening stuff still tends to be varied and random.
