How many goals since Boxing Day? 16:44 - Apr 7 with 3189 viewsJoey_Joe_Joe_Junior

Surely it must be some kind of club record for the second half of this season

It must be for a season that isn’t a disaster. As an eg sure 94/95 was worse but we were a car crash then whereas we are mid table now

Yes, this still applies. We could just as easily end up with the next Paul Jewell through the door than a half-effective manager.

13? I counted 10 on Soccerbase since the 1-0 loss at Wolves on 23rd December. Let me try again.

Yet another game today with only 1 shot on target from Town.
Glad I didn't go today; even playing rubbish golf & shooting 91 was more fun than that must have been.

We scored lots of goals under Jewell. Problem was, the opposition scored more.

Yes and we could also end up with a manager that encourages his team to play decent attacking football and they score a few goals?! Why do we always see the negative in this new appointment? Because MM keeps coining the phrase - ‘be careful what you wish for!’ I can’t think of anything better we get the new man in, he’s doing a great job and we’re playing great and we question why we kept MM for so long!?

We have taken 18 points from the last 19 games. That is relegation form, or very close to it.
In those 19 games, we have scored just 14 goals, on average fewer than any team has scored this season apart from Burton, so no wonder most are very fed up, especially with Mick constantly repeating how well we've played.

We were nearly relegated last season, by whatt 4 points? It's hardly any surprise that we've hit the same form again, given the manager, most of the players and the budget are more or less exactly the same as they were when we nearly dropped. The same ingredients will always have the same result.

Whoever takes over is going to need serious backing, and my fear is that the penny pinchers at the top won't spend anymore than they are now.

Everyone on this forum is always wrong.

Just two first half goals since Xmas......last season our first half goals tally was equally as poor.
