The hate filled abuse aimed at our manager, largely by spotty twenty something's was disgusting. I am no great fan of his as a manager and think it is right for him to go but really? Town fans used to have more class and integrity but this new breed are utter morons. How do they think that helps the team? And the irony of them singing there's only one Bobby Robson when had they been around in his poor early spell they would have shouted abuse at him too. He appears to be " ticking all the boxes " for the morons in our supporters but his record of 7 wins and 13 draws in 29 games scoring a grand total of 31 goals ! Wonder where all these 'ard cases are now, or where they crawl out from in the first place. It's one thing to act like a p1ssed up t0sser (let's face it, we've all done it) but you could at least be man enough to own up and (try to) defend yourself if you actually meant it.

I’m all for fans voicing their opinions negative or positive but there really is no point whatsoever in chanting anti McCarthy stuff now.
The funny thing is that he’s probably glad he’s still p1ssing then off. Had they just ignored him completely that would’ve hurt MM more.

I don't know much about him but it appears just surviving in that division on a tiny budget has got people talking. Has no money to buy players so promotes youth development and has unearthed some gems it seems.
Unless ME finds the combination to his war chest, this may be the kind of manager we need / will get [Post edited 7 Apr 2018 21:28]

Totally agree. Embarrassing and unnecessary.
I can live with ‘cheerio’ chants and ‘Get out of our club’ but the personal abuse just before half time was at best pathetic and at worst vile.
Whatever you think of McCarthy, he didn’t deserve that. And remember it was 0-0 at the time.
When it was announced he was leaving, I thought there would be some reconciliation and recognition over the last few weeks for his achievements at the club.
Instead we’ve got a toxic situation that no one wants and doesn’t help the team.
McCarthy hasn’t helped himself with his comments but I find it ironic that the same fans who act the hardman take such offence when he calls them a name.
I want change, McCarthy has run his race, but heaven help the new manager if he doesn’t live up to the unrealistic expectations of some of our support.
Today should have been a good laugh, a decent away day in London.
