No one loves Bowie more than I but Space Oddity (original title the David Bowie Album), MWSTW and Pin UPS? Aladinsane was a bit of a rush job which was written and recorded between touring with clunky lyrics and poor production, especially the vocals buried on Watch that Man. Elton’s 4 album run is superb though and goes in the top 5 with the Beatles and Wonder runs.

I’d give you the Boss had he released The Promise rather than Darkness. Magical Mystwet Tour was an ep in England but in the USA they put together an album featuring the tracks from the ep and added non album singles Strawberry Fields, Penny Lane. All You Need Is Love and a B side Baby Youre a Rich Man. So not cannon.

Pinups was the first album I bought and loved the ones in my list, I had forgotten about Stevie Wonder. This is what I love about the music posts on TWTD.

Pink Floyd go in the top 5. I like Aladdinsane. The cover is iconic. But it could have been so much better. The production really lets it down. And Bowie admits rushing the lyrics.

If it is, I've never heard anything from earlier albums. Technically it's recordings from Dylan and the Band from '67 which was released in '75. Happy if someone can prove me wrong...

I wouldn't argue with that, the last two have just enough Steve Hackett influence before the Collins takeover gained momentum.

Wasn’t Amnesiac made if of left overs from the Kid A sessions? Some decent moments like Pyramid Song but sub standard imo.

That’s what I mean. It’s old tracks so should count in an album run.
