Despite mixed reviews me and the missus, along with 6 others went to the Forge last Saturday for a few drinks and a bite to eat.
What an absolute shambles the place is.
The service was shocking, they only had about 50% of the menu available and when the food finally arrived some of it wasn't cooked properly.
Despite us not paying for the food (which was appreciated by all), I would give this place a wide berth.

Went for breakfast a couple of weeks ago and to be honest it was pretty poor.

I had a similar experience myself, shame as its got the potential to be a top notch venue, but sadly let down by service and the food was bang average. |  |

Had lunch this week. All 4 of us enjoyed what we had. Service was great. Wasn’t busy, only 3 other tables, maybe that’s the key. |  |

Yes I was going to say, when it first opened as Mortimers I can remember going around 15 years ago and the place was good and had a good reputation as a decent place to go for a meal. |  | | |
