Player contracts being discussed on another thread. Looks like decisions already made by Mick (or at least advised on), as things need to be decided before a new bloke is likely to come in.
Neither have moved the needle for us over the past few years, and whilst Sears has played out of position, when he has faced down on goal his finishing has let him down.
Sears is under contract still isn't he? Wonder who might take him. I'd imagine we'll still be scouting and reporting on possible signings even if the new manager isn't known yet but I'd be surprised if any signings are made without the new manager's approval.
Only mentioned one so far who was on the bench in the weekends old firm game. Source didn’t mention a name...
My guess would be Cummings?
Warburton took Cummings to Forest....
Surely if Warburton was number one then the club would have moved on him by now? Giving him a few games this season to get an idea of players he wants to keep and ones he wants to leave?

You’d have thought so.
The Warburton thing was just me putting 2 & 2 together.

I rather fear that you're expecting the club's management to be working with a degree of competence here.
I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.
Didn't Warburton take Cummings to Forest and then never play him, hence the loan to Rangers?
Can't see Cummings wanting to play under Warburton again, provided Warburton is lined up
Garner and Waghorn have been successful here so worth looking at them again especially if they are still in financial difficulties and we can pick up a bargain or two.

Any L1 club would gladly take him off our books. Loan to start with - perhaps.

Surely they will be waiting to see who applies, see how candidates interview for the position before making a decision.
Warburton may be/may have been favourite, but an even better candidate might come out of the blue, so why rush, they've already given Klug til the end of the season?
This is a more likely..... on 11:05 - Apr 19 by Bloots
....scenario than many I've seen.
He could just go with a "collective" made up of all the current coaching staff, with nobody having overall responsibility.
He'd move them all up from minimum wage to living wage.
We'd be the footballing equivalent of Soul2Soul.
Nah, he's going to get Phil to run a weekly poll on TWTD of what formation we should play and who should feature in which position. Subs will be handled by running a Twitch feed and taking a lot eon 45, 60 and 80 minutes.

Agreed and I doubt it's Warburton as he'd be here already.
Not sure any players are being lined up as who are our scouts? MM did it all with his mates etc so not expecting any moves until new Man is in place.

Well, quite and don't disagree, I was merely pointing out to RIG if Warburton was the guy then given he is out of work and he was number one choice then the club would have made a move for him by now., I wasn't saying we should take him or he is is the guy.
But as RIG did comeback and say he was putting 2 and 2 together and making 5, so there we are.
