Reading went 4 up against Arsenal, League cup 2012, but ended up losing 5-7 after eactra time. One of most famous high scoring games also involved Arsenal who lost 4-5 at home to Man Utd, week before Munich.

Highest Town draw attended was 4-4 at home to Charlton?

It was rather surreal. Their keeper was so hopeless that despite our defending we were never less than two goals clear IIRC.

I was at that game.

I thought about that one yesterday and looked to see if we scored 5 in each half but it was 6-0 at halftime.

Ray Crawford scored 5 and the other 5 were split between Moran,Phillips and Elsworthy so it was a sort of 5-5.

Our first ever home game in European competition.
