I did a half marathon in 2016 where I didn't stop for any drinks because I was trying to beat my personal best and didn't want to slow down. Bloody silly really. | |

Even with all the pace makers and gearing up entirely to try and beat Radcliffes world record they didn't really get anywhere near it.

The pace makers were really p1ssing me off. Mainly because I don't understand them at all. Seems to detract greatly from the spectacle.
I have no real interest in long distance running so this may be the norm in all races but I really didn't like it. | | | |
