Depends which other airlines you have flown with to make a reasonable comparison.

Virgin, Gulf Air, Qantas, Air India, Qatar Airways to name a few. Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying BA have always been perfect, but the other airlines have not been perfect all the time either.

First world problems that really bug me on 08:25 - May 3 by SitfcB | The new Wetherspoons hotel (classy, I know, actually it's really really nice and you'd never think it was a wetherspoons hotel once in the room) in Yarmouth (The Troll Cart) has plug sockets either side of the bed, 2 on each side. Plus extra plug sockets where the kettle is etc. |
You're telling me you actually stayed there, when there is a perfectly nice B&B just down the road, run by an Ipswich supporter, where you could have got a nice discount as well. Does look nice, to be fair...

£28 sounds like money well spent, unless its a 20 minute flight

First world problems that really bug me on 08:06 - May 3 by Bluebell | My question would be - why do you need electric appliances plugged in near the bed? Most of those things use batteries. |
Whilst I know this is obviously a joke, got in about half 9 last night looking to FaceTime the fiancé and little boy before he fell asleep with about 5% battery left, and had to perch myself on a sh*tty hotel room chair in the corner rather than lying on the nice comfy bed Shocking

It’s through work, and I wouldn’t actually mind if it was some cheap cr*ppy place but it’s actually relatively expensive - well not too, luxury but compared to some places at least!

I have a 5m cable for charging my phone these days. Mitigates any issues with sockets being too far away.

First world problems that really bug me on 10:43 - May 3 by greyhound | I actually rearrange the entire hotel room so sockets are near the bed. It seems stupid and hotel staff must hate me but tbh if I have to stay away for work I'm. Going to make it practical. |
I agree this is an annoyance but I found out about this thing called a power extension cable and put that in my travel bag - it meant I no longer had to knock down and rebuild every hotel I stay at

I used to do that then went on a huge run of decent hotels. Recently stayed at a decent hotel and it caught me off guard without my trusty 10m multi outlet power cassette for the distribution of electrical current.

Rookie mistake. I've stayed at swank hotels which still don't get this right.

It definately feels that way. But I'm also on a personal quest to travel lighter. I bloody hate having a suitcase on the tube and on trains in general. While I know me and my two wheeled suit trailer is the obstacle everyone just gets in the bloody way. On another note with hotels, those with low shower pressure annoy me Also ones that have the fire alarm. Going every time the toast burns. Also winds me up when the hotel is spread over a dozen floors with only one lift in service that can carry about 4 people despite it saying it can carry 12

I’ll add the lifts to the list One I’m in currently has 2 lifts, but one is out of order so has that exact problem. I’m only on 1st and have ended up just taking the stairs - not really what I’ve (work) paid for* *I would actually take the stairs anyway as I’m a young fit machine, but annoyed me upon arrival with bags etc** **didnt actually really annoy me as no one else was using the lift at the time and it was there anyway, but it could have done

Hotels are a nightmare when joining a ship. I always take 2 kit bags. Split my stuff between the two in case one gets lost. It happens quite regularly with Air Chance (France). Each bag weights about 27/18kgs depending on length of trip. A hotel without a working lift is an absolute nightmare.
