I’m afraid it’s now, courtesy of the press, as ingrained as ‘Country Cousins’, ‘Sleepy Suffolk’, and ‘unfashionable’. We used to be ‘aristocrats’ under the Cobbolds!

I'd go ahead and drop it. Go for something more appropriate, a name which better reflects our fan base.
What about 'The Numbskull News Commentators'?
Pronouns: He/Him/His.
"Imagine being a heterosexual white male in Britain at this moment. How bad is that. Everything you say is racist, everything you say is homophobic. The Woke community have really f****d this country."

Yes please dump it!! but as you say almost all the press reporters refer to Town as 'The Tractor Boys' Absolutely irritates me beyond believe, 15 years living in Florida and as soon as ITFC comes up in conversation be it with guys living here or tourists i'm refered to as a tractor boy! At least can we all agree to 'phase out' our chants of 'one nil to the tractor boys' etc, just don't recall hearing it before i left blighty.

its an awful nickname, any time I hear it I cringe. proper tw@ty
I'm with you, cringeworthy, tag/nickname and by all accounts it was started by other fans. Even my 'other half' who works in the Disney Dining serving industry and has never been to Ipswich/Uk, has it said to her when she mentions to 'British/European patrons that i'm a Town fan the normal response is 'oh, a tractor boy, and she now believes we're all straw chewing bumpkins riding tractors!!!

The rest of the country views us as inbreds hicks exactly the same as norwich. The fact that we can send ourselves up sets us apart from them a bit.

Having spent a great deal of my youth driving tractors on my Dad's farm, I've never been even in the slightest offended b the nickname. If anything, it's worse that fellow Town fans seem to be embarrassed to be associated with the rural character of the county.
