Parker odds shortening on 09:10 - May 11 by Vic | I don’t think that’s a fair analogy. More like an apprentice who over several years worked his way up to be team leader and worked closely with senior management. He then spends some time learning the key skills of management, whilst undergoing post graduate education in management skills (coaching badges) before looking to step out on his own. Sounds totally sensible and if the guys has got the ability and personality then why shouldn’t he succeed? His character and personality is TOTALLY different to Keane, just no comparison. |
Maybe not but on the job learning in a reduced capacity isn't the same as taking the reins and leading. I think the point, "IF" the guy's got the ability is key. I'd rather someone who's cut his teeth in the real world and proved he can steer or guide clubs when it matters, not a CV or a plying career that suggests he could. [Post edited 11 May 2018 16:28]
