Not surprising Lampards terms were too much 10:20 - May 23 with 1293 views | unstableblue | He’s on another planet of earnings... Gary Neville gets circa 5million as a Sky Pundit! Thierry Henry’s pay was off the scale. At the least Lampard was on 75, 000 a week in his final seasons... so 4million a year So Micks 1million a year... was never going to cut it. And to be fare Lampard hasn’t even managed a youth team! Bet Gerard is getting a wedge at Rangers.

Not surprising Lampards terms were too much on 10:23 - May 23 with 1244 views | hype313 | Lampard was on at least £150k at Chelsea. However, he should realise that in order to get a decent role in management he is going to have to drastically reduce his demands, especially given all he has at the moment is his name.

Not surprising Lampards terms were too much on 10:25 - May 23 with 1231 views | Bluebell | Anybody starting out in management should accept lower than expectations. If it works out he could command more in his next job. His wife must be earning a lot with her job too.

It didn’t take long for him to show himself to be an entitled chancer.
Not surprising Lampards terms were too much on 10:29 - May 23 with 1196 views | Marshalls_Mullet | These benchmarks are irrelevant. Lampard is bright enough to know that if he chooses career in management his initial pay wont compete with those kind of figures. This is balanced by the idea that if he takes a first job on say £500k - £1m, if he becomes a major success he could command £10m - £18m per year in the longer term.

It's difficult to know full situation - he may have wanted a bit more because is probably coining it in at BT Sport and a huge pay decrease may be too much. Also he may have wanted to bring in backroom staff who are currently employed and budget not there - i.e. it's not much of a stretch to think a development coach at Chelsea could be on £10k a week and our budgets may not allow him to put in place a team he feels he needs to give himself best possible opportunity

Not surprising Lampards terms were too much on 11:12 - May 23 with 1027 views | Fixed_It | He's a multi-millionaire. He should be more concerned with finding a Club which will allow him time to develop as a coach/manager. The fact that he seems to have rejected us on the basis of pay (although it could have also been to do with backroom staff) doesn't reflect well on him. Shame really.

Indeed. He's under no obligation to accept our terms but it seems a huge contrast to someone like Warburton who spent his own money to go round and gain experience. And if Lampard thinks that he's earned the right to be accepted as a manager on his own terms straight off the bat, then that would be a concern of its own.

Not surprising Lampards terms were too much on 11:32 - May 23 with 962 views | No9 | Was money the real reason Frankie boy rejected the job? As a new boy to management he could hardly expect top pay could he - unless he's daft & he's never come across that way.
