Seems a lifetime ago that we were so good. I remember thinking it was always going to be that good, shame really wish I had enjoyed it more considering what has happened since.
However does show the way forward for us again. Burley was interviewed after that game and mentioned the togetherness, spirit and belief in the team. That is what we need with Hurst. We will never have the best 11 individual players so need to be a better team, who know what they are doing. However the one difference from a McCarthy team is they need no fear, to go out and try to win EVERY game and believing that its possible. Not being told how much money everyone else has, how good they are and that a point is a good point. A draw is two lost points, not one gained. |  |
