I met him in Stringfellows once - was an absolute Gent.
We asked him for a photo, he called one of the girls over and gave her the camera to take it, and spent 5 minutes chatting away and was an excellent host [Post edited 7 Jun 2018 12:45]

I think I went a handful of times and a drunk Brian Tilsley was there each time, actually I think he was the DJ

He was a meeter greeter the few times I met/saw him. Thought he was a big time Charlie, but came across as a proper Charlie.
On on occasion, one of the lads bought a drink from the bar (probably a Vodka Redbull for £16 or so) and didnt leave the change for a tip, he then struggled to get served by anyone, blanked by the staff, quite amusing. | |

We saw him in Majorca around 20 years ago.... the hotel we stayed in was a 15 minute walk from a marina crammed full of your typical millionaire's yachts (some of these things were huge!), and on one of them was PS entertaining friends with a few drinks and saying hello to passers-by and generally loving life, but in an inclusive way (saying hello to everyone) and not being a knob. |  |
