Having watched the Bobby film it has reminded me that mine is Ronaldo, such a brilliant forward. So powerful, so good on the ball and such a good finisher.
I was fortunate enough to see him break the World Cup goalscoring record in Dortmund, it annoys me an irrational amount that Klose subsequently beat his record.
I was thinking that same though; Ronaldo MKI was a sensational player.
I've got pure love for RIvaldo; I'm saying he was the best of the three R's, altho the last time I mentioned that I got roundly laughed off the forum.
Klose is such a funny one. Raf Honigstein was on Talksport (yeah, I know, I know) a couple weeks back, and selected Klose ahead of Gerd Muller and Rudi Voller for his all-time German XI; alongside Klinsmann IIRC.

I think probably Cruyf for me, so majestic. Always had a real soft spot for Gazza too, he really was some player.
No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

That reminds me; Gullit played at PR for Chelsea in a League Cup tie in the late 90s (I think); vageuly remember losing on penalties - he was some player in his pomp.

I'm trying to find a football hero relayed name for my second born if he is a boy that I can get past the missus - I'd like Cruyff but she isn't having it at all.
A shame Ronaldo would be associated with the preening Portugeezer now

RIvaldo was great, but not in the same class as the other 2.
It just grates on me that the World Cup goalscoring record is held by a player so average in reality. His club record shows that to be the case, and the fact he got 5 in one game definitely helps him.
Muller has the most ridiculous goalscoring record, the international one is just unbelievable

Some might pooh-pooh me, but one that’s got to be up there is Alan Shearer.
The complete centre-forward.
He really was.
Geordie mate of mine regularly whinges about how they had the best manager and striker at the same time (SBR and Shearer), and yet didnt win a damn thing.

I dunno, Joe - Rivaldo shone in a fairly mediocre Barca team - and look at the state of this hat-trick, to get them into the Champs league!

The pace, power and ability to go past people at ease was impressive. I don't think he quite hit the consistency of the likes of Ronaldo II and Messi but was certainly an excellent player.
Almost like a footballing equivalent to Tyson in his heyday.
Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!
George Best. Wonderfully gifted footballer, even on the heavy pitches of days gone by, he seemed to glide across the mud. We all wanted to be him during our kick abouts when we were kids. Saw him play in the flesh at PR in my 1st ever game v Man Utd in 1969 & a few times after that.
We have no village green, or a shop.
It's very, very quiet.
I can walk to the pub.
