Fat Sam Allardyce 12:03 - Jun 13 with 1957 viewsvapour_trail

Anyone spared a thought for the fat fcker in the run up to the WC? No me neither, until I saw an interview in which he said he felt a bit jealous of Southgate and that he should still be leading the squad to Russia.

Made me smile that.

I wonder how different the squad would look if old pint-of-wine sam were still the gaffer?

Carroll in.
Rooney in.
Hart in.

Any others?

Why have a high profile job and merely be well paid for it when you can use that high profile job as a means to make contacts and undertake "consultancy" for even more money?

He should become a Tory Cabinet Minister.

I guess anyone his son is agent for would have a chance, too.

John Terry?

Yeah JT would definitely have been talked out of retirement wouldn’t he. Captain to boot, I reckon.

Would go down well with the Chair of the FA.

I don't like Sam but do think he was a bit stitched up here - he didn't actually do anything wrong when you look at the detail. He was just showing off a bit to people he trusted whilst having a few pints of wine.

I'm glad he's no longer England manager, but there really didn't seem to be a silver bullet or even a smoking gun in that exposé

If ignore that whole 'abusing his position to advise people how to circumnavigate FA rules, whilst being a major figurehead for the FA' then he's definitely done nothing wrong.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

It showed that he's a kunt.

So, like you say no smoking gun.

But he didn't actually do that if you watch the footage

Christ no. We’re in far better position now under Southgate without that old dinosaur at the helm.

God No, it would be like having Mike Bassett as England manager, team bonding would be who has the fittest WAG with the winner being crowned while sitting on Fat Sams lap. No place for younger players only those you can hold there drink we need proper blokes playing for England.

We would have Nolan and Barkley running the midfield!

Wilshere would be playing.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

No not at all.
Him getting sacked has given England a much better chance of doing well at this World Cup.
