Fair play, obviously a good record. I'd be interested to see the teams he's scored against. I just feel he may be shown up against the good sides. Not knocking him, it's just a feeling.
Who's pinned what hopes? No one thinks we're going to do well particularly and I've barely seen a word about Kane other than stuff along the lines of "he's our only world-class player" which is probably fairly accurate, but doesn't imply any expectations.
Totally. I'd shoehorn Vardy in alongside him, better finisher than Sterling imo.
I would play Vardy in the games where we are underdogs. He has a fantastic record for Leicester when they are against the big clubs because the defence is pushed up and he runs in behind. If you are playing a Tunisia, or someone defending deep in numbers, he's completely ordinary.

Ian international level really higher than the Premier League?
I suspect Tunisia and Panama defences will be weaker than Kane's used to playing.
I kind of agree with the premise of your point though, for some reason I'm still not 100% convinced by Kane, which is really unfair given his scoring record. I think I've still not got over the horrors of Euro 2016.

Where and what have I made up? I've not pretended to base comments on this thread on facts.
We see these threads before every game that Ipswich/England play. They drive me insane. Someone makes a claim that has no basis. People reply saying why it's stupid and the OP eventually retreats to 'I have a feeling'. Mindless negativity for the sake of it.

Wouldn’t be an international tournament without people pointlessly writing us off rather than trying to enjoy it and god forbid, show some support for their country.

Well if that's how you feel I'd argue you're a moron for getting so worked up over it.
I tend to value your input generally but you're talking out of a hole here.
Someone says they think a particular player might be not quite as good as some think and you get offended because it's negativity. It's football, we're meant to have feelings and opinions. I might be wrong, I might be right. Let the sodding thing go.
