But the first game last night was the Russia game which was on BBC, so the commentator was effectively commentating for who? The highlights reel?
ITV football used to be top notch in the 70's with some top commentators. These days it's awful, the constant ads make it almost unwatchable. |  |

The main thing I don't get about this is that people are STILL surprised that ITV's football coverage is terrible. I can't wait for the start of the domestic season when they find out that the local TV news are incredibly, incredibly Norwich-centric. |  |

Got to agree with the poster, ITV is terrible at coverage. Those who just want to shout "hoof it" at the telly will believe analysis is pointless but to improve the game nationally it is important for players and coaches to understand the technical and tactical parts of the game - not who won a game of darts with a hack. |  | | |

I've really got no problem with ITV - thanks to them we have at least been able to watch every match of our own national side free to air for quite a few years now unlike the disgraceful situation of before.
I honestly couldn't care less about the analysis or lack of. |  | | |
