In fact Frank Brogan appeared for us in the two games that followed that tackle(one as sub and once subbed)and then played for Halifax but it did curtail his career.

Alan Gilzean was quite a classy player usually.

Was awful for Frank Brogan, he visited my school with Danny Hegan and gave us some training, always loved his work on the wing. Gilzean seemed to deliberately Brylcreem the few strands of hair on his head and that mixed with the sweat allowed him to get the ball to slide off his greasy head into the corner of the net.

Yes, that's what I always think of in connection with him.

Must admit he was one of the best headers of a football that I've ever seen.
