You are right. Going out against Croatia in nthe semi final of the World Cup would not be a screw up. This WC was supposed to be about a young team getting some experince for the Euros and the 2022 WC. | |

Sensible hedge i would say.
I get crucified for this but I occasionally do a similar thing on a personal level in games that i really care about.
Take for example that Nodge second leg game in the playoffs, I put enough to cover my train, match ticket & beers on Norwich so that if we lost at least i had a free day. If we had won I promise i would not have given a solitary sh1t about the hundred quid or so, so for me it was logical. |  | | |
