What a ridiculous concept, don't get excited about football, football fans! No wonder our attendance under Mick dropped so heavily. He was all about lowering expectations so he could get away with boring us to death with his pragmatism.
What's the point in following a team if you don't emotionally invest? Might as well spend your Saturday doing something more productive. I'm absolutely crestfallen that we didn't make the final, despite how well this young team have done. However, the downs make the ups all the sweeter.

SouperJim. I don´t think that was the message at all "don't get excited about football". But you also have to be realistic and stay down to earth even if you win a few games on the trot. I think this is important, especially for players and managers. | | | |
