... these are experts and business leaders.... stalling investment, losing millions, moving jobs to Europe.....

This is getting ridiculous - we need to stop Brexit don’t we??

Normally i'd agree but a couple of points of order:

1) Businesses moving countries to avoid tax is sh1tty behaviour as it's effectively stealing if they are avoiding tax in a country they are operating in. However, moving to access a market for free trade is fair enough imo.

2) I don't see how globalism and internationalism is a bad thing? Think this comes back to my confusion that protectionism of domestic industry is supposedly a socialist idea, but to me is anything but?

What's wealth anyway? Do we really need jobs and bigger houses, faster cars (or any cars for that matter)
Feudalism server Britain very well through the middle ages, the peasants work on the land, making the Lords and Ladies richer. They are our betters after all, and do need that moat, or offshore account.
So what if regress to an early time in our history, its what we voted for after all.

I guess it depends who is benefitting from the 'free' trade (plus considerations of environmental impact ) I imagine this is probably the line that Varoufakis is arguing re transforming the European project to benefit 'the people'...... unfortunately I do not share his optimism for reform.
( I thought Internationalism (different to globalism/capitalist) was a socialist ideal not protectionism)

Huh, your namby pamby new fangled feudalism with it's social ordering and paternalistic attitudes. Those robber barons were a load of snowflakes.

Clan warfare is what is required now, it will suit our divided nations and scare the feck out of Game of Thrones fans.

Feudalism is indeed the intended aim of the lizards in charge of the Tory Party. Cut off from the influence of European laws, we can turn the clock back 600 years.

Governments taking money for nothing off companies to then waste on the things that don’t benefit society is stealing...

Why on earth were simpletons like myself allowed a vote on something so complex in the first place?

Please note: prior to hitting the post button, I've double checked for anything that could be construed as "Anti Semitic" and to the best of my knowledge it isn't. Anything deemed to be of a Xenophobic nature is therefore purely accidental or down to your own misconstruing.

Worse still, they let people like Boris and Davies(who make the average news commenter look like an intellectual titan) run the whole process.

The same experts who predicted the same losing jobs to other countries in Europe if we didn't join the Euro, and then had to admit they got it wrong and we were better off outside the Euro.

They'll make an utter killing when we sign a trade deal with the US that effectively forces the mass privatisation-in-all-but-name of NHS services leading to the loss of the huge block discount the service currently enjoys. Meaning that healthcare costs across the board will go up.
Rule Britannia.
