Been away for a while and still catching up slowly. My sense is that we are two centre-backs, a forward who can play across the line (perhaps like the lad from Accrington), and a central striker light. That's the minimum we need in the next few weeks, depending also on the ongoing injury situation in central midfield. Sound about right?
Either way it is hard to expect a settled start to the season. I make Blackburn favourites on the opening day as we stand and it is going to be very important indeed that people are patient. |  |

About 5 or 6 players realistically, but with the promise of the Webster money being spent and the normal budget being £1.5m that's another £4.3m to spend on players so plenty of action expected. |

400k FIFA, 1m Man City, 3.5m Bristol, plus Hurst will already have had at least what Mick spent on Huws Garner Waghorn last summer. We have got rid of McGs wages too which everyone says were the highest at the club. So no doubt Hurst will spend all of that and Evans will still float the club his usual £7m-odd. Exciting times! He struggles with positioning, runs the ball out of play countless times.
So maybe he was carried on occasions, yes.

Disagree, he had a few poor games last season, especially when he had a centre forward playing in front of him offering him no real protection, but for the most part he was a solid performer for us last season. He gets forward pretty well, grabs a few goals, is athletic and decent in the air. He's okay on the ball, not the best but decent enough. Not sure where this idea has come from that he's incapable of playing Championship football. | |

Oddly he doesn't do average very well. He either plays really well or has a stinker. Some games he will have 15 minutes of one followed by 15 minutes of the other. I believe the ability is there but he needs to turn the stinkers into 6 or 7/10 games | |
