The fact he's played in a pre-season friendly doesn't mean anything.
All the big clubs are waiting for their World Cup players to come back in to full training and for the transfer madness to start - it's only when the transfer window shut on 11th August we will know who Prem clubs will loan out between then and the end of August.

I find it highly unlikely for two reasons. Firstly, CCV was never remotely a realistic target as a permanent signing given how highly he is rated at Spurs and the kind of fee they would have wanted. Secondly, it was clear we wouldn't be making permanent signings (let alone for big money) in January other than youths given the uncertainty over Mick's future. Where was the interview? | |
